The road to your film

No surprises and no small print. These are the steps, one after the other, from the first email to the day your film is in your hands.

The contract

Signed by the three of us, with every condition set out in it. No small print.

The booking

Payment 1: €500 + VAT (€605 VAT included). From that moment on, that day is yours alone.

A second document to guide you: how to choose the date and location for the LoveStory session, dress code, how it unfolds, and the guide to the archive material you’ll send me.

The LoveStory session

Payment 2: depends on the experience. Interviews, first as a couple and then separately, plus the shoot with cinema camera and drone. In The Story this isn’t a separate day: the interviews are filmed in the calm of the wedding-morning preparations.

You can bring anyone who is part of your story to the session — young children, your parents, the dog. All I ask is that you tell me beforehand so I can plan the shoot with them in it, not as an afterthought.

The wedding day

Payment 3: the remaining balance. I arrive at the venue before the preparations begin — drone and cinema camera for the place and the details — and cover getting ready, the ceremony, the drinks reception, your entrance, the dinner and the party without putting a clock in front of it: I stay while the party keeps giving moments worth telling. Through the day I steal confessions from your guests, in the same confessional tone as the LoveStory session: grandmothers, childhood friends, siblings. Those voices are half the heart of the film, and you won’t see them coming.

The premiere

At most three months after the wedding, the private gallery arrives with all three pieces. And this is when the thing we’ve spent months building finally happens: it’s the first time each of you hears what the other one said, alone, in front of the camera. I ask only one thing — don’t watch it on your phone on the way somewhere. Find an evening, a big screen and some volume: it’s cut with the real audio, and on the sofa it sounds like it felt.

It can be brought forward to 30 days with VIP Delivery, in exchange for filming your reaction the first time you watch it plus a short video testimonial: they’re worth more to me than any advert.

This is the path shared by all three experiences. What changes between them is how many days we shoot and how far the production goes.

Delivered digitally and privately through a gallery, downloadable. Maximum: 3 months from the wedding, o 30 days with VIP Delivery — in exchange for your reaction video at the premiere and a short video testimonial. In The Legacy it isn’t standard, but you can ask for it on the same terms: there the 30 days run from the post-wedding shoot. All three pieces are included in every experience; The Legacy additionally adds a Save the Date and a printed album, and its clock starts on the post-wedding shoot day, because that material is woven into the film.

Three ways of telling the same story. All three start from the same place — your voice, your archive and a documentary eye — are filmed with several cameras at once, carry a drone on every shoot, and include the stolen confessions from your guests on the wedding day and travel anywhere within Barcelona, Castellón and Valencia. What changes is how many days we shoot, how many of us are behind the cameras and how far the production goes.

The drone flies whenever weather and the flight regulations of each location allow. I check before we sign anything. If you’re marrying outside those three provinces, write to me and we’ll sort it out.

How payment works

The amount is split across two or three moments depending on the experience: on signing, on the day of the pre-wedding shoot, and on the wedding day. You never pay anything in advance that doesn’t have a date attached to it.

Amounts are shown before VAT (21%); underneath each one, the equivalent with VAT included. In The Story there is no pre-wedding session payment, because the interviews are filmed during the preparations on the wedding day itself. In The Legacy the delivery clock starts on the post-wedding shoot day. Every payment and condition is set out in the contract, with no small print.

I never cover two on the same day, and never more than twelve in a year. I edit every film myself, and that sets how many fit.

The three experiences are complete exactly as they are. What follows doesn’t fill any gaps: these are pieces for anyone who wants to go one step further.

Save the Date

A short film to announce your wedding. It’s the extra with the most work behind it: a script, a location and a pre-production built for you alone. We shoot it early enough that it reaches your guests before the invitation does.

A shooting day after the wedding, unhurried: you put the dress and the suit back on somewhere we choose together, with drone. It becomes part of the narrative, and because the edit stays open, your archive can stretch to the honeymoon.

The long cut of every interview: the two of you, your parents, your friends. Between 25 and 40 minutes of what they said about you while my camera was running and they had almost forgotten it was.

VHS add-on

We film part of the day on tape, with a nineties camera: grain, a date stamp in the corner and a texture no modern camera knows how to fake. It needs a second pair of hands, so it comes with The Film or The Legacy.

Before adding anything to The Film, take another look at The Legacy. The Film plus the Save the Date, the “To be continued…” session and the album comes to €3,050. The Legacy is €2,900 and already includes all three, along with the live preview screened during your reception, which isn’t sold separately.

Prices excluding VAT (21%); beside each one, the equivalent with VAT included. The “To be continued…” session is filmed after the wedding, so the delivery time runs from that shoot and not from the wedding day.

Can we pay in instalments?

Always across three moments, and none of them in advance without a date attached: the booking on signing the contract (€500 + VAT), the day of the LoveStory shoot and the wedding day.

What does the price include?

All three experiences start from the same place: the LoveStory interviews, your personal archive, full coverage of the wedding day and the three pieces — teaser, trailer and full film — within three months at most.

When is a second camera operator needed?

It’s included in The Film and The Legacy. I consider it essential at medium and large weddings so no angle and no reaction is missed.

How is The Story different?

It’s filmed on a single camera and the LoveStory session isn’t a separate day: the interviews are recorded in the calm of the preparations on the wedding day itself.

Can we bring someone to the LoveStory?

Yes. Young children, your parents, the dog: anyone who is part of the story. Tell me beforehand and I’ll plan the shoot with them in it, with a moment of their own, rather than squeezing them in on the day.

Is there a travel surcharge?

Not across Catalonia and the Valencia region. Outside that area I quote travel and accommodation separately.

How many weddings do you cover a year?

Never two on the same day, and never more than twelve in a year. I write, edit and finish every film myself, and that sets how many fit.
